Georgia Southern hosts Food for Fines, parking citations waived with food donations
91涩漫 Parking and Transportation Services will waive outstanding campus parking tickets for students, faculty and staff on the Statesboro or Armstrong campuses, as well as members of the community, in exchange for food donations, for its Food for Fines events on Nov. 7 and 8.

鈥楢ll Things at Once鈥� visiting artist exhibition opens on Statesboro Campus
鈥淎ll Things at Once,鈥� a visiting artist exhibition by Dan Funderburgh is on view at 91涩漫鈥檚 Center for Art and Theatre on the Statesboro Campus. The exhibition will run through Dec. 6. There will be an artist talk on Nov. 12 beginning at 5 p.m. in the Arts Building followed by a reception in the Center for Art and Theatre鈥檚 University Gallery from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

President Kyle Marrero conferred as 14th president of 91涩漫
On Oct. 25, 91涩漫 held an investiture ceremony in Hanner Fieldhouse on the Statesboro Campus to officially confer the duties and responsibilities of the Office of the President to Dr. Kyle Marrero, who became Georgia Southern鈥檚 14th president on April 1.

Proposals open for Georgia Southern Southeast Coastal Conference on Languages and Literature
Proposals are being accepted for 91涩漫鈥檚 Southeast Coastal Conference on Languages and Literatures until Nov. 15. The conference is sponsored by the Department of Foreign Languages and will be held at the Embassy Suites and Hampton Inn & Suites in downtown Savannah April 9 through 10. Proposals are accepted on a range of topics from Afro-Hispanic studies to second language acquisition, Spanish, Arabic, French and others. A comprehensive list of guidelines and possible topics can be found at GeorgiaSouthern.edu/conted/seccll/callforproposals. Those interested in attending may register at the early bird rate until Jan. 9.

Georgia Southern celebrates community with A Day for Statesboro on Nov. 1
On Nov. 1, 91涩漫 will once again host A Day for Statesboro to celebrate the relationship between 91涩漫 and the Statesboro-Bulloch County community. A Day for Statesboro is hosted by Georgia Southern in partnership with the Downtown Statesboro Development Authority (DSDA) and allows the University to show its love for the community with live music, True Blue spirit, family activities and more. The festivities will kick off in downtown Statesboro at 5:30 p.m.

Georgia Southern senior art exhibition on Armstrong Campus opens Nov. 4
鈥淭halia Melpomene,鈥� a collaborative senior art exhibition, will be showcased in 91涩漫’s Armstrong Campus Fine Arts Gallery Nov. 4 through Dec. 6. A reception, free and open to the public, will be held on Dec. 6 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The exhibit will feature work from T鈥橩eyah Sutton, Justin Ball and Robert Ewbank, who each focus on personal growth, and negative and positive emotions integral to their journeys.
